Tailors
Great tailor, my experience, on 9th and Downing a couple doors from Das Bog. It is called Georges, but a woman does the work and is very good and also friendly. She has done several things for me. So it is between Marion and Downing in the row of shops on the north side. Thordis
My favorite tailor is Y&Y Tailoring and Alterations in Cherry Creek. They are located right above the Cherry Cricket at 2645 E. 2nd Ave,
Ste. 210. They did my wedding dress and have done all my alterations since then. Owned by a very nice Chinese woman. This is a different store than Cherry Creek Alterations, which is nearby. Alice Jennison
I, too, have taken alteration work to Y&Y. They are reasonably priced, make constructive suggestions (at least the proprietor did in my situation), and
complete the work when promised. Sheila Kowal

Shoe and Bag Repair
I have taken shoes and bags to Phelps Shoe Service on So. Colorado Boulevard. It's located in a little store located in the West axis of the shopping center, facing the new JoAnn Fabrics(formerly Michaels) and close to the Bungalow store. The man who runs Phelps is named Alex, I believe. He is prompt, very reasonable in his pricing, and competent. The shop is low-key and definitely mom and pop. I, too, used to frequent Dardanos. He typically asks for payment up front. Takes credit cards. I have never had a problem with his work. In fact, he makes the old look like new.
