Ollie
I’d love to have Lumpers’ recommendations re Olli classes for winter. I tend to put top priority on quality of facilitator; the subject matter comes in second. Linda Plaut
In reviewing the offerings, here are my recs for good facilitators: Jerry Henderson, Dick Wisott, Marcy Dolan, Rabbi Zwerin, Bill and Sharon Elfenbein (of course), and Karen Weslar.
Pam Matthews 2010
At Olli West Karen Lindsay is great at anything in the art/art history category. Sherma Erholm is a very good facilitator, thorough, on point. Teg Gooding and Hank Zeile are a good, tested duo. Samuel Lancaster is not to be missed in music. Jim Elliott is tried and true. I like Jack Dais a lot. Harry Cullis is a communications pro and full of zest and personality. Of course Warren Hamilton, retired senior emeritus professor of geophysics from Mines, is hard to beat. His course, "How the Earth Works," is no reading, no homework; you just have to try to follow his expertise and slide shows. Finally, Walter Chaw is a professional film critic. I am a tad bothered that he gets paid and the rest of us don't. At Central, anything Jerry Henderson does is worthwhile. At South, we have known Jerry Wischmeyer for many years and know he would be good. Mary Meinig 2010
