Sigrid Freese -
14 of us started walking together at 8AM, but quickly split into smaller groups. Pam, Mo, Sharon and Lindsay did the loop around the Davis Ponds, and maybe more. They were on their way home before we got down. Pat, Barbara Berryman, Sarah and Randy (and Ruby) hiked the long loop on Staunton Ranch, Old Mill and Mason Creek trails. And Polly, Ann G., May, Judy H and Debbie, Sigrid hiked an almost 7 mile loop on the Staunton Ranch, Scout Line, and a bit of the Marmot Passage trails. Scout Line was new to all of us, fairly steep and rocky in places with wonderful views of the farthest reaches of the park. Flowers were the hit of the hike and these pictures are just a few of many varieties blooming now. Amazing to have this park just 30 minutes from central Denver. |
