Home / Senior Health Care
The information below came from my pal Nina Williams (Sidley) and I have heard wonderful things about these Ethiopian women. Please do contact Nina at her CELL
I have worked with five Ethiopian caregivers, to take excellent care of my beloved mother-in-law, Connie Sidley, who passed away last April at the age of 95. These exceptional ladies also assisted in the care of Sue Cannon and Jane Hamilton. They are actively looking to help people in need, and are all extremely loving and honest. Please do call me, if this is of interest, and I am happy to give you more details about each person who might be of interest.

In arranging appropriate in-home care for my elderly mother (Mary Poole) following surgery, we have had an excellent experience with a local company called Elderlink (http://www.elderlinkhomecare.com/).
They do everything from hourly help to 24-hour live-in care.
The president is a woman named Karen Morehead. She came to my mother’s home and met with us in person, and she did a wonderful job of choosing care givers that “fit” with my mother. They also have good follow-up, checking in to see how things are going.
The phone number is 303-734-0641 and, if you decide to explore this possibility, I suggest you talk first directly with Karen. Good luck to you as you proceed. I hope you can find something that works well for your parents.

This very Swiss nice gal, Iris Caviezel, stayed with me for about a month this winter and told me about her work caring for seniors. She's close to 50, very personable and well-organized. She and her partner Mark, a computer guy, recently found a place to live and now she's hoping for more work in her field. Here is the note about herself that I asked her to write.
Hello, my name is Iris Caviezel. I'm an RN from Switzerland with over 20 years experience in Swiss hospitals as a floor nurse and operating room nurse. For the last 15 years in the United States I've been offering high quality personal care and care management for seniors in the privacy of their homes and retirement communities .
Giving loving care to seniors, helping them to recover , regaining stability if needed , offering support through difficult life stages in order to live life to the fullest is deeply rewarding to me .
I just moved to the Denver/Boulder area and have availability for new clients.

I'd like to notify Lumpers about a 22 year old Eritrean friend, daughter of one of my mother's caretakers, who is available to help Lumpers and their friends/family with medical care, eldercare, childcare..whatever. She has a C N A certificate, is legally able to work, has excellent English skills, drives, and is totally beautiful and lovely. She is available immediately and can work days or nights. I am happy to introduce people to Elsa, or folks may contact her directly at [email protected].

I think a group called Comfort Keepers is great. I used them after I had hip surgery and they were wonderful
